Maureen Denise McCormick born 5th August 1956 Woodland Hills California, youngest daughter and only of Richard McCormick. Her father was a schoolteacher and her mom was a stay-at-home mother. There are three brothers older than her: Michael Dennis and Kevin. McCormick started singing and performing in the early years of her life. Her fairytale rise to fame began when she took home the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley contest when she was 6 which led to being contacted by talent agent Pat Domigan of the Jack Wormser Agency and asked her whether she wanted to be in show business. McCormick's first big job was in 1964, where she was featured in a TV commercial for Mattels new doll Baby Pattaburp. She did another commercial in 1964 for Mattels Chatty Cathy toy and soon was chosen to play the main character in Wind It up and It breaks, a production in the La Jolla Playhouse. The Brady Bunch McCormick's audition was one of 1200 children who auditioned for the role of the oldest towheaded girl in The Brady Bunch. The show starred Florence Henderson and Robert Reed who were newlyweds with an unmarried family. The show ran for five seasons. In her autobiography Heres the Story: Surviving Marcia Brady and Finding My True Voice published in 2008 McCormick disclosed that during the fifth season of the show, she was close to losing her virginity to her onscreen co-star and brother Barry Williams. She was just 16 at the time and he was just 19. She told me that it could be possible, however we never had the right time to do it.
