Maureen Denise McCormick is the daughter of Richard McCormick. Her birth date was August 5th, 1956 on the outskirts of Woodland Hills California. Her father was a teacher while her mother was a homemaker. Michael Dennis and Kevin are three of her older brothers. McCormick was a gifted entertainer and singer at the age of 6. She would put on shows with puppets for her neighbors. McCormick won her first contest, the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley contest at the age of 6 and was approached via Pat Domigan, a talent agent with the Jack Wormser Agency. He requested that she be interested to work in the business of show production. Her first major role came in 1964, which was when she appeared in a television commercial featuring Mattels new doll Baby Pattaburp. She did another commercial in the year 1964 for Mattels Chatty Cathy toy and soon was chosen to play the leading character on the play Wind It Up and It is Broken, a show at La Jolla Playhouse. The Brady Bunch McCormick, chosen from more than 1200 auditioning children to play the third of three head-to-head daughters in The Brady Bunch (1969) with Florence Henderson and Robert Reed. The show lasted five seasons. In her book Heres the Story: Surviving Marcia Brady and Finding My True Voice released in 2008, McCormick disclosed that during the fifth season, she almost lost her virginity to her screen brother and co-star Barry Williams. In 2008, she revealed in her book Here's the Truth: surviving Marcia and Finding My True Voice that in season five of the show, she nearly lost her virginity to actor Barry Williams. She said that it would be possible, however we didn't have the proper time to do it.
