Maureen Denise McCormick was born on August 5 1956, in Woodland Hills California the youngest and only daughter of Richard McCormick and Irene McCormick. The mother of the child was home and was also a mom. Michael Dennis Kevin is her older brother. She has three siblings. Beginning at a very early stage of life, McCormick enjoyed singing and dance and would often perform puppet shows for the neighborhood children. When she was just six years old, young, she took home an award in the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley pageant. Pat Domigan at Jack Wormser Agency approached her to ask her if she would like to enter show business. McCormick was chosen to play in her debut major role in 1964 in the tv spot for Mattels most recent doll, Baby Pattaburp. In the year that followed, she appeared in another commercial that aired on TV for Chatty Cathy's doll. Soon afterward, McCormick was cast at La Jolla Playhouse to play the part of the character It up and It breaks. The Brady Bunch McCormick auditioned for the role of the eldest daughter of the three towheaded girls on The Brady Bunch. The show was a collaboration between Florence Henderson, Robert Reed and a new blended family. The five-year run of The Brady Bunch was an enormous success. In her memoir Heres the Story: Surviving Marcia Brady and Finding My True Voice which was published in 2008 McCormick revealed that during the shows fifth season she was close to losing her virginity to her onscreen brother and co-star Barry Williams. At the time, she was just 16 years old and he was 19. It could have been, she says. However, the timing for our relationship was not the right one.
