Annie Lennox

Annie Lennox, born 25th December 1954 in Aberdeen Scotland. Dorothy Farquharson & Thomas Allison Lennox is the full name given to her parents. Lennox was a student for three year in the Royal Academy of Music London in 1970s, was accepted. She managed to make it by surviving on a student stipend, and work part-time jobs. Lennox felt that her skills aren't the same as the Royal Academy classmates. So she began thinking about other options she could pursue. Lennox started out as an instrument player within the band Dragons Playground. She left the band shortly before their appearance on I.T.V's Talent show New Faces. She was the voice in The Tourists a British pop band between 1977 and the year 1980. That was also where she came across Dave Stewart with whom she will form Pop duo Eurythmics. Lennox went on to record her solo debut album Diva. The album was released in 1992. The album garnered a lot of praise, both by critics as well as the general public. Nostalgia Lennoxs sixth album as a solo artist was released in October of 2014. This C.D. Lennox compiled her top blues and soul from the time of her childhood. Also, in May of 2019, Lennox published Lepidoptera which is a compilation of four improvised piano tracks. The E.P. is the companion album for her installation of art in the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art titled"Now I'll Let You Go... It's also her first independently released album. Annie Lennox, born on December 25, 1954, in Scotland is a philanthropist and political activist. She also sings. The Tourists had a minor popularity in the latter part of the 1970s. Lennox, along with Dave Stewart, a fellow musician, would go on to become famous internationally in the 1980s with the Eurythmics. The album that Lennox released in 1992 Diva was a huge success, featuring a variety of songs like Why, the World is Broken Glass. Medusa is a studio album, features cover versions of popular songs such as No More I Love Yous andA Whiter Shade of Pale. Six studio albums of her own as well as a compilation album are to her credit.
